Miniature Christmas Stockings....

In my last post I showed you the christmas stockings that I worked in cross-stitch for my family and myself. One or two of you had the idea that I could make them into miniature stockings for the 'petite-maison'.....well, these are ones that I made about four years ago and they were hidding in a box, so I thought I would get them out and see what they look like in this room.
I had been trying to finish this room when I had my fall and the last few things to complete have come to a stand still. I have made a brick back for the fire place and the hearth, but these are not yet painted.....also the hydrangea in the urn is also not complete!!!...plus I still need to add some pretty cushions etc... I hope the new year will see me right and I shall be able to finish this room!

I recieved a beautiful letter of support and encouragement from Sabiha in the mail this week....in regards to my 'accident'....and along with it, was this adorable little 'nutcracker' that she had made. I think it is a lovely christmas addition for the 'petite maison'!

....thank you so very much, Linda x

...p.s....please note that the miniature christmas stockings are not worked in 'needle point'....I am not as clever as Sandi & Rosanna.... they are miniaturized buy the magic of my computer & printer!!

Your little 'soldier' is delightful, just perfect for Christmas at Petite Maison :)

I think the mini stockings look wonderful on the mantle, and I am sure your eyes thank you for making your computer do all the work ;)

Are you making the hydrangeas using Lea's instructions? I just love her flowers but haven't worked out yet how to put them together.

So glad you are feeling better, continue to take care of yourself.

Votre Petite Maison me rappelle le Chateau de Noizé où je vivais lorsque j'étais enfant. Parlez vous français Lynda?
