....home from Paris....!

We are just home from six weeks in Paris.....regardless of the recent events in Paris, we had a great time.....I do feel a bit guilty admitting that! We explored many new places and after many trips to Paris we still managed to find new experiences and places to explore. We had a great time Christmas shopping for our 3 little grandchildren and each weekend we would visit the antique market at Vanvers......buying a few little treasures of course.

I have a selection of photos for you today, I so hope you enjoy my choice...... I hope you all enjoy a very Happy Christmas and I wish you a safe New Year.

Hi Linda! I am glad to hear you had a good time in spite of the Tragedy. I believe it is essential that we have a good time anyway, otherwise the evil-doers are the winners! I always love your photos and I'm glad to know that after many visits, the enchantment of Paris is still there for you! Happy Holiday to you and your loved ones, and may there be many more wonderful trips in your future!

So glad you had a great time despite events. And also because of them, there must've also been a pretty amazing feeling there with the French solidarity and support of each other. France is amazing, and the French people too. I miss it. Your photos are lovely. Was it cold? Was it odd not being able to visit Lea's shop? Did you go past it anyway for a look? Sorry, I'll stop asking questions! Have a great Christmas and new year with your family.

Lovely photos Linda, I thought you might have been there at the time, so sad but we mustn't let it spoil our enjoyment of such a beautiful place. Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. I must have missed something, was Lea's shop closed?

Shannon.....no, it wasn't too cold, quite mild for that time of the year.....hardly any rain which was great. It was strange to walk the street where Lea's shop was and not see it still there. It had been replaced by a shop that is painted in stark white interior (& exterior come to that) and there is a gentleman selling beautiful hand bags......all brightly displayed in the window....so far removed to what was there before.

I think many Parisians will be happy to hear you had a good time Linda. Terrorists cannot be allowed to win and spoil such a beautiful country. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos =0)
