One of my favorite towns in England...

....this lovely little town is Bradford on Avon, I went there on my first visit to England in 2004...that is when I took these photos. I love the colours of the brick work in the buildings, the wonderful aged roof tiles, but most of all the adorable 'wonky' little tea shop and all its detail...(I'm sure this could be inspiration for a miniaturist or two).....and then all of this is set on the edge of a beautiful river. Would be wonderful to have a return visit one day!!

Love that "wonky" town. Would love to visit the English towns again, one of my favorite trips.

Hi Linda- Thanks for visiting my blog the other day and introducing me to your wonderful blog. I'm so enjoying your posts and really loving your miniature project. I thought at first it was your real home, until I realized it was a miniature...Amazing! I'm so adding your blog to my "j'adore" list of blogs. Thanks again!

OH, Linda, I was there in 2003! Absolutely loved it! We had tea at the tea shop you're speaking of . . . I think I have a picture of it somewhere . . . and had a lovely afternoon tea with scones and fresh cream! Yummy!

We're going back to England next year to celebrate my turning the big 5 - 0! I can't wait!

I'm slowly going through my pictures and posting them on my blog . . . thanks for bringing back fond memories!

I have followed your blog for a while and love it. I too am building a 'french' house but am a total beginner. I am following Lea Frisonis book. I dont usually comment but when i saw these pics I had to. I know this town well - my brother lives not far from there. It is adorable. I love your blog and your house is fantastic - well done on such a good job!
