....these are the last of the photos I have to show you of the 'petite maison'. This is the result of 5 years of lots & lots of work, some times easy, some times so frustrationg, but always enjoyable!!
Before I show you the final photos of the petite maison (....the exterior of the house and how all the rooms sit in relation to one another....) I though you might like a quick refesh of all the rooms, I hope you don't mind seeing some of these photos again....!
Welcome to the 'salon'. This is the final room I have been working on, so now that the festoons are made and the curtains are hung, this little room is now complete.
Some of you have been asking to see details around the 'petite maison', so today I have lots of photos for you!
....these daffodils add some welcoming cheer to the front steps.
This is the bedside table in the main bedroom, it hold all the usual items you would expect to find in any home. The beautiful vase is made by Margaret Crosswell.
A little side table holds a pretty lamp and a vase of flowers, the stairs I made using a kit.....But I made each and every individual floor tile!!!!
I love this little butterfly that has just landed on a pretty pink clematis.
....a kitchen chair with broom and hearth brush.....yes, the chair is also a kit!! The broom I bought while I was in Paris, but I believe it was made in Germany....(and now lives in Australia)
These geraniums are also made from a kit, they sit happily on the kitchen table....
....a little box overflowing with letters and post cards.
This is the kitchen window with its faux iron work...
....and of course the pretty tea-cosy sent to me from Sandi.....the colors work so well in the salon.
Yes, yes...I know, my lovely cushions again!!! But a few question have been asked about the cushions which I can now answer.
Okay.....(deep breath).....I shall start showing you the 'completed' petite maison over a series of 4 or 5 parts. Most are 'fresh' photos that I have taken over the past week or 2, but there are probably a few that you may have already seen, I do hope you don't mind seeing them again!
Next is the buffet in the salon....all set ready for company. There are some really special pieces here, macaroons from Linda Cummings, the pyramid of clementines from Paris Miniatures, the wonderful tea-cosy from Sandi Quance and the little silver tea pot from a trip to New York.
The grand piano I made using a kit, it was a bit tricky to make at times, but I am perfectly pleased with the final result. A beautiful vase made by Margaret Crosswell holds a bunch of pretty pink tulips.
....and of course another photo of the amazing 'petit point' cushions made by Sandi Quance. This little couch sits in the centre of the main salon and shares the room with the grand piano. I know I haven't shown too much of this room in the past, but I shall post photos of the completed room very soon.

To add to the perfection of these items, Sandi actually filled them with feathers.....yes! actually cut up feathers to 'stuff' the cushions. 
In my last post I showed you one cushion I had made......well, here we have all of the others. These are placed on an 'Australian Miners Couch'.....it's a 'small pleasures kit'..... but I think it works well as the couch for the 'petite maisons' dressing room.
