Paris with detail....

I love the amazing detail that decorates all buildings in Paris. So much detail.....over windows, over doors, the huge corbels, fine delicate balconies, flower pots.....more and more!! Every corner you walk around is a feast for the eyes....(not to mention the camers). I love these photos best of all, they sit over door ways, watching all who pass through....wouldn't you love to know some of the stories they could tell!!

These are lovely. And you've done such a great job photographing them! It's not easy to get enough contrast to capture all that detail in a gray and white subject. Thanks so much for sharing them!

The thing I love about French architecture is that even though each building is different, they are similar to the ones beside. So you get a more unified streetscape without 'sameness'. It's so well executed.

What lovely details! Too often we walk right by without stopping to notice the beauty around us. I was in Paris last week and only stopped to photograph one door lintel. Seeing your photos makes me wish I'd paid closer attention. Next time I'm there, I'll stop.

So exquisitely beautiful and you capture the essence of it so well in your beautiful miniature creations. And to think I've had major issues just getting up the nerve to open Joanna's dollhouse box. But it will be a fun mother/daughter project with occasional (probably more than occasional) assistance from her Dad. He can do anything in relation to carpentry and electricity.
Thank you for your kind message on my blog!

Linda,
Oh, how I wish that I could see these beautiful details here in the states! I just love how serious the Parisians are about the beauty of their beloved city.
Wonderful and beautiful post, Linda!

I just found your blog. And I happened to scroll down and start to catch on the the fact that you have a pretty incredible doll house and miniatures. Then I scrolled down even more and saw it! LOVELY!!!!!!!
Can you help me? I simply must start this hobby for my sweet little dauphine! Where would I find a house like that and where would I find french style furnishings like yours??? Would you mind popping over for a visit to answer or shoot me an email. I would be so greatful.
