Tres Chic....?

I spent all day Saturday recovering two chairs....when I bought these they were painted brown and covered in a 'horrid' blue fabric, which was totally out of scale and not at all to my liking! I've had them pulled to pieces and repainted for a very long time and as I'm wanting to finish the 'grand salon' it finally came to the day when I HAD to recover them!.....This did not prove to be an easy job, I did one chair and was not at all pleased with it, so...once again...pulled all the fabric off and started again....finally I think I have a result I can live with!!...may have to 'age' them a little...(because I'm sure they have aged me!!)
As for today, I have made a little pair of slippers. 'Sabiha' so very kindly put a link on her blog, for the pattern...and this is my finished product!! ...thanks Sabiha

Well, it was certainly worth all your time and effort - it looks beautiful! I love seeing someone take something very ordinary and make it extraordinary.

Linda, the chair is just gorgeous! I can't wait to see the whole room come together . . .

The slippers are so pretty! I made a few pair myself some time ago for my winter cottage . . . Mr. and Mrs. Claus were most grateful! LOL!!

Thanks for sharing!

Everything looks perfect! Your work never ceases to amaze me!
I've been working on chair too, mine were also painted horribly, with a terryble red varnish and covered in beige satin... You did an amazing job with yours, I'm so jealous!!

I'm absolutly in love with the slippers!
