Hortensias....

...or if you are like me...Hydrangeas! I have finally made my hydrangea kit...and when I say finally I mean I have had them for quite some time. I bought them at SIMP in 2008 and while I have looked at them alot and wanted to get-in and make them, it was the fact that the instructions were in French that was my biggest 'stumbling block'. Well, mr babelfish and I have now translated them and the results are as you can see above. I am pleased with the final result, but not so pleased with the vase, (it was all I had) but that can come later.
I know I have shown the lovely wine bottles made by Hanneke, but I have a new addition to the collection....a lovely jar of "Bon Maman"....I'm so thrilled with it!
The same vase of flowers...just in a different setting, I have popped them on the kitchen table, (you can see the lovely scones made by Kim Saulter in the back ground) I think the colours work well in the kitchen, but their final home will be the 'grande salon'....may-be...?

Parc de Monceau....

This is the absolutely beautiful C1770 'Parc de Monceau', it is a large park (..basicly in the centre of Paris..) but relatively untouched by tourists....seems a popular destination by the locals for lunch.
My photos manly show the amazing buildings which surround the park, the detail on these buildings are devine and as always the roses were at their 'very best'!!
We made several visits here during our 8 weeks in Paris....and needless to say, when next in Paris I'm sure this will be a definate destination!!

Becarefull what you wish for....

....what could you possibly make from all of this...?? (I realise the key board is a give-away!!)
....let's sort it all out and see what we have!!!
....it's beginning to look like something!!!
....almost finished!!!
This is a kit that I have always wanted to make....although it did prove to be quite a challenge!! It is the "Mini Mundus" Grand Piano....I expected it to be a little difficult, but at times I wondered if it would ever get finished....well, it has and so far I am happy with the result. Once it is 'dressed-up' I'm sure it will look right at home in the 'petite maison'.

Miniature Wine Bottles....

....today I recieved more amazing miniature (French) wine bottles from Hanneke,.. white wine, rose, champagne and half a bottle of 'corked' red wine!!! I love the detailed labels and the wonderful little cork in the red wine is so cute. When we had our 8 weeks in Paris, I loved the fact that you could pop around the corner to the local super market for our bottle of rose (and that's not to mention how very cheap it was). But, if you would like some miniature wine bottles you can visit "hanneke ter berg-verheen" (from Holland) at: http://www.minimini.nl/

Thank you Hanneke, I love them!!

Paris with detail....

I love the amazing detail that decorates all buildings in Paris. So much detail.....over windows, over doors, the huge corbels, fine delicate balconies, flower pots.....more and more!! Every corner you walk around is a feast for the eyes....(not to mention the camers). I love these photos best of all, they sit over door ways, watching all who pass through....wouldn't you love to know some of the stories they could tell!!

Kitchen to die for....

This is a "Clive Christian" kitchen....isn't it the most beautiful thing you have ever seen!! I could happily move right in here. Of course I have seen these in all the 'glossy' English magazines, but to be able to walk into one of their shops was a real treat!! A kitchen with a chandelier is my idea of a kitchen, I don't think I would change one thing in it....oh!....how about a chef? (I like a beautiful kitchen, but I do hate to cook!!!)
This particular shop I found in Petersfield UK., on my first visit to England....

....ofcourse there are some wonderful ideas here to use in miniature, don't you agree??
