Passementerie....

Passementerie is the French word for trims, braids & tassels etc......
These are some tassels I made in a "Passementerie" class (here is Tasmania) way back in the 90's. They have been lovingly packed away for the last couple of years, but now have finally been given a new home. They work in very well with my French furniture and luckily my choice of colours hasn't dated too much. I enjoyed these classes, they were run by a local needle work shop and my friend and I would have a wonderful day away to make what ever tassels was on offer. We would arrive home very excited with what had taken us the whole day to make......we were always very proud of what we had accomplished...lol!
I thought you might have liked seeing the type of crafts I used to make until the 'miniature bug' bit me again!!

Wow! The tassels have not 'dated' at all Linda! the colours are exquisite 'gelati' shades which suit your furniture. There will always be a place for ribbon roses too! Terryx

Linda,

Beautiful work! I love them and the colors you chose.
Wouldn't it be fun to have a blogland 'Show & Tell' your crafts before the miniature bug bit.

It would be nice getting them out of storage after all that time - just like having them new, all over again. Lovely work.

They are very beautiful Linda and Abby and Taylor, my great nieces, love them too! Just wondering where you did the class, my sister-in-law's sister-in-law used to run a craft shop in Hobart. So nice!
