Market Day in Paris....

....the market at Ave du President Wilson is just one of the many, many market that are held here in Paris on any given day. I have been to lots of markets and this is always a really good one! There are so many amazing things to see and these photos are just a tiny example of what you can expect to find there.
Out of respect for David there are no photos of fish.....I must admit that fish markets...how ever clean they may be...are always a little on the nose!!!

For those that might be interested to know what I did for my birthday.....well, I was treated to a 'fabulous' lunch at "Le Grand Colbert". It was divine, the atmosphere, the food....the company of course....it was a very special day!
As many of you will know, Le Grand Colbert was features at the end of one of my favorite move..."somethings gotta give"....it was just a dream to go there, I loved every minute of it!
I had a wondeful day and I thank you for all the lovely birthday messages and emails that I recieved from all parts of the world....so special!!....Thank you!

New to your blog and arriving late, I wish you a belated happy birthday.
Such a treat you are having there in Paris. I love the photos you are sharing and had to laugh as I enlarged the market photo of the mushrooms wondering what they are asking for them there in Paris. Just yesterday as I purchased my shitake mushrooms at Whole Foods for $12.99 lb. I glanced over at the chanterelles and sighed...they were $29.99 lb. and a bit too dear I thought to be going into my vegetable broth.

Enjoy your long holiday and while you are away I will get acquainted and take in all the loveliness of your gorgeous blog and fabulous mini house.
