"My Petite Maison"

The idea of my petite maison being published into a miniature book was the idea of a fellow blogger....(one with a very good imagination...lol!) So this idea stayed in the back of my mind (along with lots and lots of other ideas...) until I came upon Maria's work!

Maris comes from Rome and she makes some really beautiful books, she has excellent scale (which is always very important to me) and works in great detail.....plus her little books are readable.......what joy!!!! I commissioned Maris to make me 2 books....she used photos and words from my blog, I left all the details to Maris and I was so very 'thrilled' with the result!

I thank Maria very very much.....she says 'each little book is made with love'.....I can see that this is true.

Maris has her own blog and Etsy shop "Il Cucchiaino Magico (The Magic Spoon) http://ilcucchiainomagico.blogspot.com/

p.s....my friend with the great imagination was rewarded with her very own miniature copy of "My Petite Maison".....

It's wonderful Linda, what a great idea to do it in mini, and how fantastic to have the chance to hand the task over to Maris. I do hope that it will become available to buy because I want one!!

My goodness!!! Who wouldn't want one!!! Linda, it's one of the best things I've seen. I can only imagine how beautiful it must all be in person. It reminds me of Lea Frisoni's beautifully photographed book. Your book is gorgeous!!! =)

Linda, You are so clever!! I love how the book has turned out. Marie did a wonderful job on it! Anytime you decide to make copies to sell I will buy one too!!! I have Lea's mini version of hers and your Maison book would be a perfect companion piece.......three customers from you replies so far......LOL....pretty please. :)

FOr a total newcomer to the world of miniatures, this is all very astounding to me. Linda. The fact that it can be read bowls me over.

Thank you for commenting on my posts from Paris. My main blog will revert to being Sydney based for a while now. My Parisian posts will swap over completely to my 'A Pied' blog which is on my side-bar. Please continue if it pleases you. I would love your company.

What a beautiful and excellent idea!
It is really magical to see photos of your house in such a small book. You must be overjoyed to have it.
I know Maria's blog and I am always amazed by her work.
I recently made a book for myself with the stories of Nina and Lucie. It was my mother's idea to keep the stories and photos. Of course, it has nothing to do with your book.

Marie did a wonderful making this lovely 1: 12 scale book. The photos and the print are so clear.

Too bad all the book stores are closing. I am sure there would be a long line of people waiting to meet the author and get their copies signed. ;-))
