Windows to the soul....
....if the eyes are the window to the soul....then surely windows are the eyes to the soul of a house....? I am guessing these houses have beautiful souls.....!
For those of you that would like to visit Paris, but don't want to endure the jet-lag, you can visit from the comfort of your own home by clicking onto: http://paris-26-gigapixels.com/ ENJOY X
The pictures of the windows are so beautiful and inspiring. You really have an eye for photography !!!By the way the link to Paris is great, although I'm now a little bit dizzy :-)!Have to go there with more time!Jeannette
For my next house i really want windows like that with juliettes and shutters so I loved all those pics. They will be a great help to our planning. Off to visit your link now. Have a great weekend! Fiona
I agree with you one hundred percent, Linda! Those houses must have beautiful souls!! I will have to visit your link another time..... but thank you for sharing such beautiful pieces of Paris! It is food for the soul!
Gorgeous windows. I do love the wrought iron detail and the window boxes. So much history in those windows - so many interesting stories:). Thanks for letting us feature you this week on the Decorating Forum:)
I live 15 km from Paris and my job is in Paris. Each day I see the Basilique du Sacré coeur from the train. I like the way you take photographs. thank you for the link,it's an unusual way to see the town. Bonne journée Sylvie
I love windows. I like to imagine what it hides ... Often, walking down the street at night in a strange city, I stop to look at a window from which a soft light from behind a curtain, and I hope with all my heart, there are two lovers or a mother cradling a child, behind ...
Oh I just love the windows and the wrought iron. It is like a free flower show. Even in cooler weather the window boxes are pretty. I ordered the book Hidden in Paris can't wait to read it.
Wow, it's always a pleasure to discover your beautiful pictures from Paris. This small "gardens" on the balcon and windows have always something of magical. And thanks for the great link. Have a nice day, Marie
HI Linda, I came across your wonderful blog while perusing...my favourite things. It seems we have a little in common, our love for all things French and I live in Aus too. I am about the endure the jet lag and see Paris again in a few days. Thank you for giving me a taste today. x
The comments here pretty much say everything that can be said about these windows. If you see those windows, you'll definitely want to stop and take a picture, or something. Great pictures, Linda!
I have a passion for all things French. I would like this blog to reflect my love of Paris, it's architecture, gardens and way of life. This has been the inspiration for travel, love of interior decorating and last but not least my fascination with miniatures.
