Paris pathed in silver....

It is wonderful to be wondering the streets of Paris and come across one of their (many) produce markets, but to discover one of their antique markets is just 'pure joy'!!! We spent many (many) hours exploring all the fabulous delights these fabulous markets had to offer.

....I adore the silver....!

How wonderful to find French antique shops filled with silver. That must have been fun! The photos are beautiful. :-)

Did you ever got to the flea market? My sister goes every year to find antique lace and fabrics for dressing the dolls she makes.

Dear Linda, here to me, is a fine summer morning, and I enjoy the start of Sunday with a good cup of latte and your beautiful photos, thanks :-)
I love silver more than gold, especially when old. I love the matte coating, which is his character.
Your photos are really beautiful :-)
Catherine: I'd like to see the dolls dressed with antique lace from your sister :-) A creative family, yours :-)
Mini hugs to both, Flora

I do love a good antique market! Especially when they have lots of silver on offer. If there is just lots of silver on display, I think it is harder to see the beauty of the individual piece. To me, silver becomes more beautiful when it is displayed with other materials, like wood and porcelain.
Nonetheless, I'd be like a kid in a candy store here ;)

Beautiful photo's! When I first went to France 15 years ago a lot of French silver was priced very reasonably. Now everything has gone up. I'm happy I bought a lot of it then.

I agree with Josje, but that goes for everything I think. When something is displayed in an exclusive and flattering setting it looks more desirable then when there are 'heaps' of it. Evenso, the silver in the pictures looks delightfull, and so devine! Thanks for sharing, because this is such eyecandy!!
