Slow and steady....

I was going to write 'wins the race'.....but of course there is no race, (and if there was, I would be miles behind the hare.....) but I am enjoying collecting and enlarging my collection of miniatures for my next/new project. I think the thrill of hunting down some of these miniatures is some times the best part of being a miniature collector......I have bought many little delights over the past few months, but it was one piece that I enjoyed making (I should say 'assembling') just last week. It was a Cynthia Howe 12th scale (laser cut) bird cage kit. The detail and design I think is fabulous and it went together in a matter of minutes. The cage can be painted etc....but for this project I (think) I prefer it left natural, it has a wonderful Victorian feel about it.....I'm loving it!!!!! There is of course a few more pretties, but I shall show you those in a day or two.

Good morning Linda! Or I should say good evening probably as you are living in the future ;)

Your collection is very pretty. You always pick the nicest miniatures from all over the world. Love the birdcage as well. I didn't know Cynthia Howe sold these sort of things, I only know her from the dolls. I'll have to go and check her site out.

Definitely the hunt is one of the best part and you are such a good hunter.
Love the cage, it's truly a delight.

La entiendo la mayoría de las veces la planificación del proyecto nos deleita mas que el proyecto en si mismo, y si la planificación es como la suya donde va encontrando esos pequeños tesoros mucho mejor.
es todo precioso.
un abrazo

I understand most of the time the project planning delights us more than the project itself, and if planning is like yours where you find those little treasures so much better.
is all beautiful.

Another perfect group of photos with the most beautiful miniatures. The cage looks lovely in the natural color!!! Are you going to try to find a bird to live in it? ;-)

Dear Linda, when you promise pretties, usually it is STUNNING!
I agree with you, the best part of collecting is the search, discovery, the feeling of victory when we can finally enjoy the feeling of possession ...
I think this is a little morbid but it's nice :-)
