Watermark....!

I have received some feedback regarding the watermark I have now added to my photos. I thank you for your views and I have certainly taken them on board. I have now decided on a less intrusive watermark....but sadly the watermark will stay! Let me say that it makes me very sad to have had to add this to my photos, but it makes me even sadder to see my photos on Etsy for sale!!
I will have a tiny 'blog-break' from now, until we arrive in Paris in a few weeks time. We will be in Paris for 2 months.....I am looking forward to SIMP and meeting up again with old friends and making new ones.
See you soon. X

I wholeheartedly agree with you about the watermark - everyone should use one! I cannot believe that someone has tried to sell them. Have a great time in Paris :)

What?? Someone was selling your photos on Etsy? It just amazes me what people will do to make money. I have been thinking of using watermarks, even though I haven't seen my photos being misused.
Your watermark is not obtrusive at all the way it is now. And I must say I rather like it when people have their pictures watermarked because it saves me having to label it extensively when I download them :-)
Have a wonderful time in Paris, which I'm sure you will. Two months, wow!

I think the watermark needs to be very intrusive unfortunately! I recently was told by a well wisher that someone was using my illustrations to sell T Shirts and sure enough found the company. Even though I had put a faint but visible watermark through all my illustrations show online someone had managed to photoshop it out and use them anyway. You have to protect yourself from the unscrupulous! Good luck :o)

Sorry, me again, no need to publish this comment but I just looked at your new watermark and even I could photoshop that out in a few seconds. You could make your watermark into something decorative that incorporates your logo/copyright and use it much bigger so that it makes your photos unuseable by thieves by not too intrusive and actually quite decorative. email me and I will show you some examples of what I mean if you are interested? Yve :o)

Dear Linda! There are some people in this life who have no principles. They just go on their merry way and take what they want from wherever they find it, not ever caring that they are hurting the people who are being taken from.

I hope you reported this person who stole your photos because they need to be reported. This is a rotten thing to do to people like you who work hard to take beautiful photos. It's not easy to take beautiful photos like you do. This is your work and they should not be reaping profits from it.

I would like to wish you a wonderful, joyful, and restful trip. I hope you find all the things you're looking for and that you meet up with all your friends. Take care!

Lovely photos as usual and the watermark doesn't bother me either. If I wanted a copy of the photo I would buy it from you ;).
