Welcome to my Dolls House....

This is the project that has kept me busy (one way or another) for the past 4 years. I must start by saying that this house is NOT a kit.....I'll admit I did look at kit houses to buy, but couldn't find one that I really had to have. So, the only other option was to build my own......sounds easy when you say it fast!

Through this blog I would like to take you on the journey (if you would like to come along.....) of how I made it, showing you the plans, drawings of the detail work on the house.....(which this photo possibly isn't doing)...... and perhaps I could be the inspiration behind your doll house.

I must say though.....while I love what I do and I would never part with this house......it has been at times one of the most frustrating and time consuming things I have ever done......but wouldn't have it any other way.

Please note that it is a work in progress, although I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now......all be it just a glimps now and them!!!

Have you ever seen any thing more beautiful??? The French certainly know how to temp you!!

I must admit that we were tempted.....once or twice.......okay, more!!

This is a lovely little shop in St Remy de Provence, I was very excited to have actually found it by accident. I had seen it in publications and thought it typified what I expected of Provence.

Welcome to my very first posting....I have enjoyed reading and viewing blogs belonging to others that I thought it time to start my own. Having had several visits to France, the last being for 8 weeks in Paris, I have so many photos to share!!! I would also like to share my love of (doll house) miniatures, I am currently working on a project that has had me very busy for the last 4 years. It is a French inspired miniature house (1:12 scale) which I have made from the very first line on the graph paper, I would love to share it, as until now only family and close friends have seen it, until I first shared it with Christel Jensen who gave me the confidence to do this!!
