....yes, I am 'back tracking' just a little bit. We had a lovely couple of days in London before heading to Paris. We stayed just around the corner from Oxford Street....yes, we had a wonder down Oxford Street, but I much prefer to keep away from the larger department stores etc, so we headed to Portobello Road....must more my speed...lol! I love the quaint shops, so pretty!
For those of you that are Rachel Ashwell "Shabby Chic" fans, I am here to tell you that I made a visit to her shop.....yes, it is
very pretty!!! I have her books and enjoy some of her ideas, but it is not my style of decorating.....but lovely to see!
....I loved the cushion (below) that she had in her front window.....tres chic!

I didn't know Rachel Ashwell, thanks to you I am glad to know her and her style.
I am like you I prefer small shops, however when in London with the students Oxford Street was like heaven for them.

I was there 3 years ago with my daughters and we just loved it. Found some very nice things there. Hope to go again someday.
