Rain, rain......go away!!!

Sadly, enough is enough!! I am really over Winter.....I so look forward for Spring to arrive and thankfully I have not long to wait now. I long for sunny days, boats on ponds, to see the roses go from bud to bloom, to see all the lovely fresh growth on the trees and to have many (many) walks in the park. So please....rain, rain, Go Away....enough!!!!

...these photos were taken while spending 8 weeks in Paris back in 2008....sigh!

Miniature delights....!

These are the exquisite little slippers that Rosanna made and presented to me when I went to visit her in Genova. To say they are perfect is an understatement!....the detail is amazing and the needle work is just stunning! Of course they came in their own lovely little shoe (slipper) box.....aren't they wonderful???
I have already said 'thank you' to Rosanna...(many times),but..."Thank You!!!!" X

When I was in Paris I was lucky enough to go to 'Paris Creations'....I didn't plan my trip around the show, it was just pure chance that it was on while I was there. I bought a few pretty items... the 3 urns are made by Elisabeth Causeret (Italy) and the little box filled with sugar coated almonds in by Betty Sartorio (France). The darning mushroom, cotton reels & scrubing brush, I bought a few days early at "Poupee Tendress"........I also bought lots & lots of Pascale Garnier's beautiful flower kits. It was a great day!

Lastly....this pretty little dress is made by Lea Frisoni.....I bought it from her shop at Montmartre.
Now that I am home, I hope to be able to set to work on this 'new project'....I bought all the windows while in Paris.....so I guess there is nothing to stop me now!!
You may have noticed that I changed my 'header picture'....(I hope you like it!) This one I took while in Grasse in the south of France, plus I have spent many hours adding new photos (gadgets) to either side of my blog....(I kept some old favorites of course).....enjoy!

Rue De Commaille....

Situated at 2,Rue de Commaille is this lovely apartment building in Paris. It over looks a pretty little park where we would often have a 'pique-nique' lunch. As it is very near to 'Le Bon Marche' we would seldom find our selves there. I love this building for its simple, but stunning design and architecture, the wonderful balconies, the corbels, the lamps at the windows....but also I loved to watch the little bit of every-day life....like the man who lived there would walk his cat across the road to the park so it could spend the afternoon lazing in the sun.
Such simple pleasures and beautiful memories of such an amazing city....my photos fuel my love for Paris....waiting to return in 2010....?!!
It is photos such as these that are the inspiration for my next 'petite maison'.....the ideas are flowing!!!
I must add that this is my 100th post....I would never have thought I had it in me...but there you go! But more importantly today is my baby girls 26th birthday...."Happy Birthday Natalie x".

If you had one wish....

....apart from the usual health, wealth and happiness...(with a little bit of world peace thrown in)...what would it be???
For me I think...no, Idon't think, I know....it would be to live in France for 12 months.
....to live in a building like this...

....or this?...

....to be able to buy beautiful flowers...

....and cakes...

....to watch the sail boats...

....shop at the antique markets...

....visit the wonderful parks and gardens...

....and to shop for amazing chandeliers...

....I am there this week-end, if only in my dreams!!
"What is life if first we cannot dream"???
