**just a quick post today...ill health has kept me from doing what I love**
We spent a day at Fontainbleau....and of course we explored Chateau de Fontainbleau. Fontainbleau is a short train trip (less than an hour if memory serves me correctly) from Paris, departing from Gare de Lyon.
We arrived to a very chilly (frosty) morning in Fontainbleau, but with blue skies....so exploring was invigorating. We have been here once before (by chance) and we always promised ourselves that one day we would return. Chateau de Fontainbleau is set in 130 acres of parklands and gardens....simply beautiful!!!
If you get to Paris (and have a day spare) treat yourself to a day here....it is well worth it!! **I loved the ghosty figures on the lawn...made entirely from chicken wire**
