SIMP....

 Wow!!! Firstly, where to begin??? It was such a wonderful exciting day, meeting so many extraordinary miniaturists.....seeing (and buying) lots of lovely miniatures....I had a great day!!!!
The above photos are of the work of Mylene Martin  (click name to visit website)....her work is beyond belief. I had no ideas of taking any photos, but I just had to take these. I have Mylene's very kind permission to show these on my blog....the photos (which are always a challenge to take at a show) do not do justice to Mylene's wonderful and totally captivating work....visit her web-site and be prepared to be amazed!!
I met many from blogland and recieved such lovely reviews regarding my blog....thank you so very much. I met Peiwen (she is so sweet), Pascale, Genevieve & Lea (all of whom I had met on precious occassions), I saw the lovely art work of Catherine and chatted with Marie-Laure, plus a very quick last minute chance meeting with Marlies...(thanks to her husband). It was a thrill to be at SIMP again....it was a wonderful day!

p.s....had a fabulous 2 days in Paris with Rosanna and her lovely cousin Alessia, I was hoping to have today as a rest day but the "sales" started here in Paris today....I can always rest another day...lol!!!

Two months in Paris....

It has been such a pleasurable week!! We have had the wonderful company of David's sister and her husband for the past 3 days. We showed them parts of Paris that we had discovered over the years and enjoyed so much....I hope they did too..?? They returned tired to Paris after many weeks traveling through France and Spain....They depart today and once again it is just the two of us......that is of course until Sunday when Rosanna arrives!!!!
Once again just a few quickly selected photos I have taken over our time here, please excuse the reflection on the last two photos.....but I was certain that the miniaturists amongst us would enjoy seeing these.

Just a few photos that I chose for you today. I never know how my photos will turn out, some that I have great hope for when I actually take them end up deleted, then others where I cannot see the camera screen due to sun etc.....well, these usually turn out the best? It seems that the faster I take a photo and move on is always far better than if I fuss about with the shot.......there is possibly a lot to be said about that...lol!! Regardless of all of that, I hope you enjoy today's selection.
p.s....Paris is wonderful, even when you get caught in the rain!!!

Dinner is served....!

I love this time of the day, whether it be before lunch or before dinner. I love seeing all the tables set in readiness for their guests.....I feel it always offers such hope of what will be cooked, dished, served and enjoyed!! But not for me this evening, it has been another big day and I only have enough energy for baguette with cheese (and a glass of wine), then early to bed!!

How does one choose....?

   

How is it possible to choose between such delights as these on a daily basis....to constantly have to pass shops selling these temptations.....which one would or could you be able to resist......the petite cakes that are a work of art in themselves, or the absolutely gorgeous flowers??? Today I didn't have to resist, as today I bought both home.....No (lol!!!), it's not what your thinking....I bought them home via my camera!!!
