"Petite Maison"...exterior
I haven't really showed you the outside of my house....(perhaps earlier on)....so, this is it as of today!! I have recently added a little bit of 'spring' colour at the front door...even a climbing pink clematis.
As earlier blog readers "followers" would know, this is NOT a kit!! I designed my 'petite maison' to suit my requirements, re: size and proportions etc....plus the style I wanted.....Of course, it had to have a French feel to it!!
On the photos shows the house is not big, but the photos we saw of the interior have quite a lot of space. You did a great job, its an fantastic, beautiful french house! * marlies
Thank you so very much for your beautiful comments, I cherish each and every one!!! It has been a 'labour of love' (most of the time)....I would really like to start another house, perhaps a little smaller, but there is only so much available space to store all of these things!! I truley enjoyed doing the work on the exterior.
Oooh.......love this! I would love to have a petite house like this. Ever since I read about that store in Paris that sells dollhouse furniture (and yours is much grander than a dollhouse) I have been smitten with this idea.
Your house is amazing. I am from California, but purchased my house in England. I am a bit overwhelmed!!! I had looked at houses in France to get ideas. When I found your blog you can't even imagine the fun I have had looking through it. You are quite the artist. Is the front made with mod podge? If you can give any advice on the front of the house it would be greatly appreciated.
Keep up the amazing work and thank for sharing it.
Hi Michele, Thank you for the lovely comment! I do not know what 'mod podge' is...? The exterior of the petite maison is all made with wood and a painted finish. Hope this helps you. Linda
I have a passion for all things French. I would like this blog to reflect my love of Paris, it's architecture, gardens and way of life. This has been the inspiration for travel, love of interior decorating and last but not least my fascination with miniatures.
