lettres d'amour....??

....yes, I should be sanding floor tiles for the petite maison's bathroom/dressingroom, but the weather here today is absolutely 'filthy'....rain, wind and just plain 'horrid'....not to mention 'cold'...so I am totally uninspired!!!

But I thought I would show you some of the 'mini mail' I have been making. I made some a couple of weeks ago and now I have made a few more. This time I have two envelopes that are a bit 'special'....one has its own removeable letter and the other has its own removeable photos. They can then be stored away in an old shoe box....even a miniature house needs a box of 'memories'.....or perhaps...'lettres d'amour'.......

Absolutely charming, Linda!!! That's a lot of work but well worth the effort!

They look so like the real full size version, even down to the stains that postcards and letters seem to pick up on their travels through the post bags.

Linda, those are outstanding! BTW, Could you tell me what the "Sajou" on the lid of the box means? I often run onto it on French embroidery sites. A lot of the old pattern leaflets seem to have that name/word on them. Thanks!

The letters are lovely! Seems we all are losing the art of writing letters, a shame really! I love the old handwriting, so elegant and graceful.

Love the billets doux--so French. I would love to have a little pile of them tied up with a tiny ribbon on my desk.

..thanks Sophia, I have a little pile of these letters on the kitchen table...tied with a pretty pink bow, these I made several years ago....sometimes it is the simplest things that make the biggest impact!!

Linda, these are just darling . . . I can just imagine sitting on the edge of the bed looking over past memories and reminiscing.
