Yes....I am thrilled to say that I have finally finished the attic....this room was a joy to do! This is the last room of the 'petite maison' that I had left to work on, I cannot yet state that the Maison is finished as I have several rooms that need some finishing touches...but I am getting very, very close to being finished!
I shall do a 'follow-up' posting in a few days and do a 'show & tell' of some of the attic's details....I hope you enjoy my attic as much as I enjoyed working on it!
p.s....even an attic needs an 'aubusson rug'....
* I must add....I love the lighting in the first 3 photos....I got up VERY early this morning to take these photos so that I could get the early morning sun....

Bonjour Linda,
Another lovely creation, the detail is incredible, down to the little spool of thread on the floor.
Oh I wish I had a little room that looked this good and with an aubusson rug!
Bon weekend!
Well that's the most beautiful attic I've ever seen :-)
I love that crown...and the table on the left.
your attic is beautiful, but it seems a little too clean .. maybe I'm too used to seeing the old dirty and dusty attics, like those that makes Sylvia ... LOL!!
the light of early morning is the best to take photos ... Yes, I must say that I really like!
to look better, I saw a small doll's house on the ground: do you know that I have it like it?? has in resin and I bought in London 15 years ago ...
Who would have said ...
I wish you good day and good weekend!
Caterina
Lovely, though I agree with Caterina that it looks increadibly clean for an attic. Can't wait to see the finishing touches that you add to the house!
The attic looks great! Yes, it is very clean and tidy. Madame must have a very good housekeeper.
I am just curious... Who are these people that occupy this house? Have you developed any sort of story about them?
Having recently discovered your blog... I am getting a bit nervous having read that this project is coming to an end. Reassure your readers and tell us you have other miniature projects planned.
The entire house is just wonderful, I love it!!!
...I don't think we should get caught-up with the idea that an attic should be dirty...this little room stores the excess furniture of the 'petite maison' and is also a sewing area, so in that regards this room should be reasonably tidy....Plus, when you get to see the total view of the house you will understand that it would look out of place to have lovely French style rooms all lightly painted and decorated and then to have the last room looking like a 'diry box'....this is why my attic is "neat"...

I love this little room, looking forward to the shots of the little bits and pieces. I'm lucky to catch your new post as I'm in the city for a few days only - taking a break from working on renovation of the cottage (no internet access there). I must say I'm missing the 'mini-world' altho I am enjoying being surrounded by trees and birdsong :)
The attic is a triumph Linda....xv
Linda! I am here thanks to a dear blogger friend who wanted to treat me to a feast for my French and miniature lovin' eyes! She was so right! I am in love with your blog! My main blog, Castles Crowns and Cottages is devoted to all things French, but I just started a blog on miniatures called, Tout ce qui brille.....I am going to put you on my list of favorites....please visit me some time.... my dearest friend Patricia Cabrera is an expert in miniatures as well and I created the blog to feature her work and people like you. I love this French theme of yours. Have fun, please stop by and visit my two main blogs and have a lovely day!!! Anita

Ooooh, I think I've dreamed of having a real house with a pretty attic just like that ever since I was little kid.
I can just imagine sneaking up there to sew or read...or just get away from the kids!
It's absolute perfection Linda!
Mercedes
Again a beautiful job!!
There are so much things in it that I like, beautiful
Love Sylvia
The attic room is just so gorgous - I want to move in myself! Everything about is perfect.
Allways a pleasure to visit this Petite Maison of yours, as I told you, very inspiring!
Will love to see it once is finished.

Hi my friend!!!! I'm dreaming for an attic so lovely like this!!!!I love it!!!!
You made another great work!!!!
Have a nice weekend
All is charming, as usual, and an inspiration. Many thanks for taking the time to share your petite folie with us. We do appreciate it.
I am unpacking my mini house after some years. When I began in 1991 the vogue was for Victorian and I was a little out of sync but in fact each era expands with the imagination. Regards Janine minworks@blogspot.com
so, so pretty....I would like to be sitetd in this chair having a cup of good chocolate and reading a nice book or writting a letter to my dearest ...;)
wonderufl Linda
You have so many beautiful things in your attic. I'm looking forward to reading some details about them. The boat makes me thing of Jardin du Luxembourg. What about the crown ?

Linda el atico es una maravilla. Bueno toda tu casa es una preciosidad. Me encantan las patas de la mesa que esta contra la pared con el jaron encima. Son preciosas.
Besujis!!!
Your attic room is an eye feast with all its treasures!
I would newer expect any room in the PM to be untidy or dusty! :)

As always, it is wonderful. You are a true inspiration to us all. I love the attic and the lighting is perfect.

Ah the attic, the best place to keep your crown jewels in, lol! You have made it into a lovely room Linda, perfect for doing a little sewing, reading or crafting. My favourite detail is the little spool on the floor and the missing knob on the side table. I agree with you, not all attics are dusty and dirty, I know a number of real life examples which have been made into very nice rooms.
What a beautiful attic! Love all the details. I have an award for you on my blog http://mimmisdollhouse.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-very-first-award.html I find your blog very inspiring, and the pictures are so beautiful to look at.
The room is very beautiful, Linda, and I would agree after watching your blog for a while, that dust is not the kind of perfection you are looking for. Beautiful pictures too, I evy you the natural light a little bit ;-)
Lift her hand up who wants an attic like this ! Linda, you have done it again, it's such a joy for the eyes! I love the spool and the crown and the little sailing boat...I could go on with this. I love everything. Rosanna
The perfect retreat! You have created such a lovely space. I love the table on the left in the first photo and the inspiration board, the rug, the crown...can you tell I love it all? You are amazing.

Glenda told Dorothy that not all witches are old and ugly....same can be true for attics! What a pretty little room for storing those "extras". It fits in beautifully with the rest of the house. I'm anxious to see some of the details.
Tabitha
