French food cupboard....

....this is the first little piece of furniture finished for the 'new project'....I want these (new) pieces to look as though they might have been purchased from a French brocante....or some such??? I have painted it a soft grey, but I'm not sure if the true colour shows in the photo. At present I have it filled with items from some of my favorite 'foodies'.

p.s......French food cupboard is made from a kit....(although I added the 'chicken wire' look to the doors instead of the wire cover provided in the kit)....

What a great kit!!!! I love that piece. You have finished it beautifully with the chicken wire "look". Ooooh This is going to be a great project I can just feel it. :-)

Although... I don't see how you are going to have time with writing your book about France too. LOL Just kidding but I wish you would.

Linda, it's wonderful! The gray definitely shows up in the second pic. What did you use for the chicken wire? Just curious. :)

Should I feel ashamed to admit that I was so busy looking at the wine that I didn't even see the gorgeous teapot! ;)

Linda, you have been busy busy. Nice that it's so cold outside, you have a good excuse to cop inside and play. Of course I love the little cupboard! you are the best at finding the most beautiful kits and then you have the greatest ability to make them perfectly.
Well done my friend! Minihugs to you all, Rosanna

Hello Linda, I am a great admirer of your passion for minitures. Did I ever tell you that my 8yr old Dd often asks to look at what you are up to...once I found our handyman(allso known as the gardener, builder, tiler, all round right hand around the house) painting the teeny little furniture of her (off the shelf)dollshouse-all "french white" by her instructions...she is so inspired with your petit maison. (so am I of course!)
thank you for sharing your talent with us. xo Colette ~ Afrique du Sud

Ok, I just found this site and I think I have died and gone to heaven. I have been collecting 10 years, and I think now I want to convert to French. I will not be able to sleep tonite, with this picture of this dolhouse in my mind. Can you tell me where I can get more ideas to make my dollhouse and real house French. I have never been to France, but OMG, I think I am in heaven. Words cannot tell you how beautiful this is to me. Thank you Becky
