I had been wondering for some time now, just what some of my photos might look like in black & white. I confess that when I changed some from colour to b/w they looked terribly ordinary, but I loved how these looked. You have seen all of the images before, I have published them to my blog as they are ones that I took in Paris last year...but I feel that seeing them in b/w somehow adds a freshness to them....it makes them feel timeless in some way, as though they could have been taken many, many years ago and not just last year. I enjoyed seeing them and thought that perhaps you might also....?

Oh, Linda, I absolutely adore them in black and white. :)
I took a b&w photography class in college, what an eye opener that was!
They definitely have a vintage or shabby chic appeal to them in b&w.
Now, I'm curious, do you have a program that will let you hand color certain aspects of them? I'm thinking of the flowers with a twinge of color. ;)
siempre nos quedará Paris...en color o en blanco y negro, eso no importa...
The black and white certainly lends itself to architecural shots, the lines and shading stand out so much more, but I must say I do prefer the flowers in colour. It would be interesting to see more of your photos done this way Linda, if you feel like it.
How fascinating, miniature versions of them would be wonderful too, I love them, Jackie
Simply stunning! I've never really tried to make tags before. Yours are absolutely amazing!
Che belle foto! il banco e nero è così poetico,mi sono persa ammirando quei luoghi meravigliosi...grazie per il bellissimo, seppur virtuale, viaggio a Parigi,

I think you focus on the architecture differently in b & w then you do in color. They now say... We are art!
Maybe if you cannot be convinced to publish a book of all these you might consider opening an Etsy shop and selling prints of these in b & w. I am seeing a lot of photography there lately.
Amo Paris seja em cores ou preto e branco,e suas fotos mostram focos maravilhosos, amo visitar seu blog!

I prefer coloured photographs because of their liveliness. However, I do have an appreciation for black and white photos, although not just any photo. I like those photos that convey an atmospheric element such as an old house, or a swamp, or an ancient cemetery. I like all the ones that you are offering this time around. I like those that convey nostalgia, those that appear to be other wordly and as you say, timeless. I find that black and white photography stimulates the imagination. Last night, as I looked at your photos, all sorts of scenarios came to mind. One of them was funny. I enjoyed the experience very much. Each photo had a story to tell. It would be fun if we could analyze some of your photos and express what we feel they are saying.
Just wanted to let you know I love your blog and am your newest follower!
One word: beautifull.
