Genoa.....Italy

I was saddened this morning to read Rosanna's blog http://lastanzadigiuggiola.blogspot.com . Genoa has experienced some terrible flooding. We were in Genoa just 12 months ago and Rosanna proudly showed us her beautiful city. I came to love this city and I very much enjoyed the week we spent there (....I hope to return again one day?....)
Genoa is such a beautiful city, I have longed to share with you some more of my photos.....I hope this is the appropriate time to do so...??

I know that perhaps the worst is not over, as Rosanna tells me that more bad weather could be on the way. My thoughts are with you all!!!!

Thanks, Linda, have shown these beautiful images of Genoa!
Unfortunately, at this time the landscape is very different, there were no casualties including 2 children, during the flood! I am so unhappy!
Rosanna, fortunately it is safe, but I pray for all people who have had moments of panic in the streets, submerged by water and mud!
destroyed cars, shops flooded, roads submerged .... huge disaster!
hope all goes well!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention Linda. These are beautiful images.

How awful it is for Rosanna and Genova to be experiencing this. I am glad to hear there are no fatalities and pray that it doesn't continue.

Linda, your pictures are a really a comfort with what happened to this nice city the two last days... I remember such big flood in the city of Nimes in the 90's... such contrast with last year... all our thoughts to Rosanna and the persons leaving over there...doei, claude

Very beautiful pictures of a very beautiful place, I was there a few times. The water was bad, my husband was in the south of France then, there was also so much water.
