Treasure hunting....

I thought I would take the time to show you some little treasures that I have purchases lately. You will certainly recognise the beautiful work of Teresa Martinez. I saw these gorgeous little jars of vegetables  on Teresa's blog and I simply could't resist.....they so remind me of what I have seen in France.
Next is two sweet little items that I found at "Small Treasures Miniatures".
The wooden handled can opener is made by UK miniaturist Danny Shotton.....

and the wooden butter press (with moveable handle) is by David Provan (also from England). Sophia travels the world to add such items to her shop, so that people such as us...(who cannot always make it to Kensington etc)....can also buy these fabulous pieces.....Thank you Sophia!
Last, but most certainly not least is a "Stokesay Ware Tea Set" that I sent for earlier this year. I have loved this design for such a long time. I think my little cake "Le Valentin" from "Paris Miniatures" compliments the set to perfection.
While there is more.....I have to leave something for another day!

I can't imagine anything being more realistic or charming then Teresa Martinez's canned goods. I couldn't resist them myself. Her work is just beautiful. I love the mushrooms.

Your can opener looks like a RL one my grandmother had. Danny Shotton's work is always perfect. The butter press is another charmer. Kitchen items do seem to be a favorite of mine. Especially the antique variety.

That is a GORGEOUS tea set. I have admired it many times. You sure have collected some great new pieces. I love them all.

Wonderful treasures Linda! I'm gobsmacked by the tin opener and the jars of preserved vegetables are very special. Of course I love the tea set, it's the same pattern as I chose for my dollhouse!!

They're really wonderful!
Unfortunately my server doesn't let me see the tea set and the butter press. This happen sometimes, but the glasses with the veggies are beauties.

Hurray for Internet, which allows you to buy some wonderful pieces, and us to see them!

Having been away from blogging for a while, I have noticed I am not the only one ;-) There must be something in the air, as there are many new posts from fellow miniaturists all of a sudden! Funny how that works.
