"Tiny Doll House"

As any good miniaturist does when in a new city, you track down a 'dollhouse shop'. This I have to say was done with the help of Claudia, who so kindly told me about this shop prior to my visit to New York. A big thank you Claudia, it is a lovely shop, in a beautiful area of New York!

And of course when you track down these shops you are then compelled to make a purchase!! I have been on the look out for some lovely wine glasses for my petite maison, so when I saw this lovely hand made crystal set of four glasses, I knew they were for me. (I could have purchased a 'real' set for the price I paid...but, this is a 'real' set...right??)

Then of course, when I saw this amazing little silver T-pot....well, that was a must have too, I'm sure you all understand how it is!!! (and yes, I could have almost had the real thing there again!!)
Here I have just photographed 3 of the wine glasses along with some wine bottles, this picture shows the clarity of the crystal better than the previous photo, but the previous shows the wine glasses with the New York sky line behind. I loved the little shop and trying to choose what to buy was rather difficult as there were some beautiful pieces....so I can highly recommend a visit if you find yourself in New York.
Tiny Doll House. 314 East 78th Street. New York. NY. 10075
...once again, thank you Claudia!!!

Thank you for sharing your pictures! I love your new miniatures. I can imagine the difficulty in choosing. It's been a long time since I've been to an actual miniature shop but I can spend hours and hours in one. :)
I loved the Tiffany & Co. displays!
I'm so happy you enjoyed your trip!

Marlie it was a very organized little shop, but best of all it had 'seats' for those who are less interested in miniatures...if you know what/who I mean!!

Thanks for the tip re the dollshouse shop in New York. If I ever make it to that city (a long held dream) then I shall track the shop down, and no doubt, like you, will be unable to resist opening my purse for that 'must have' purchase for the dolls house.
